Jess et al (2019a and 2019b) highlight the complexity in moving primary PE forwards, and I understand that this would also be the case for the suggestions made within this blog. This plan put into action would have to be a collaborative and supportive process that will be long-term and messy. I acknowledge that many more aspects of O&AE have not been presented within this blog, however, at the initial stage, it is important not to overwhelm the children, staff, school and those adults that may become deeply involved in the longer-term process. As the plans and thoughts within this blog are put into action there will be further adaptions made, which will no doubt have its successes and failures. Nevertheless, there is evidence that outdoor learning in its broadest sense (OE, OAE, AE, OAA, OL and LOtC) can and has worked well in many primary schools.
