Introduction

OUTDOOR AND ADVENTUROUS EDUCATION

This blog is designed to introduce Outdoor Education (OE), Outdoor Adventure Education (OAE) and Physical Education (PE) (see abbreviations). Using theory, concepts and the knowledge of key terms I present a vision and lens to view and plan an Outdoor and Adventurous Education (O&AE) day for primary school pupils. The long-term goal is for O&AE to become an integral and embedded part of the whole school curriculum as it offers many benefits, although, this is not without tensions.
